We made a Doom clone in one month and all while learning a new game engine, Unreal.

We took the movement and weapons of Doom and added in different levels, new AI, brand new sounds and one new weapon; the boomerang.

I was the weapons designer and I made the tutorial level that you see below.
I was the weapons designer and I made the level that you see below. Using UE 4 Blueprinting, created 5 weapons: Rocket Launcher, Assault Rifle, Shotgun, Boomerang, Pistol. Created the tutorial level by taking a symmetrical approach with my scaling and spacing of the level. The player can maneuver the entire map in a circular path with 5 different lanes leading up to the top. The weapons were balanced against one another in order to optimize the gameplay.
