PathFinder 10K

  • PathFinder 10K is my Final Capstone Project made in the final 4 months of Full Sail University and continued working on after College.

  • PathFinder 10K is a First-Person Puzzle game. In this game, the player must solve Rube Goldberg-esque puzzles by changing and effecting objects through logic gate interaction.

  • The player will be pushed into situations where they will need to activate and deactivate various Logic Gate Puzzles in their environment in order to progress. By using logic gates, the player can solve puzzles allowing them to progress through each level.

  • This game is inspired by Puzzle Games such as The Witness and The Talos Principle.

Above is a Walkthrough of 2 Levels worth of my specific puzzles (plus my friends Kris's Level in Level 2 Puzzle 2 plus door puzzle)

I was the Level/Puzzle designer for this game, where I would map 3 different level layouts in Google draw, then choose the best 1 out of them to start blocking out in UE 4. Proceeded to clutter the entire map with dummy objects along with placing the Nav Mesh inside the level. Repeated this process through the remainder of the game, made multiple different levels varying in scope and scaling. As for what I personally worked on in this game is Level 1, Level 2 Puzzle 1 and 3, and Level 5 Final Puzzle.

Atmosphire takes the puzzle genre and adds a twist to it. The player is able to change things in their environment through manipulating the logic gates.  As the player manipulates the logic gates, they are able to see the flow of the room’s energy change in real time. Below are some screen shots of Pathfinder 10K, including some of the rooms/puzzle I have made (psssst there is a secret link...can ya find it?)
